They could still go down if Hull and Swansea win two, and palace none

Re: Big Sam climbs above West Ham.
Palace probably have the best squad outside of the top 7, they could even push the top 5.

Tomkins
Sakho
Cabaye
Townsend
Zaha
Benteke

Each of these would be in the first 16 of almost any team in the league.

Allardyce must have thought he won the lottery when that job came around. It's his golden ticket. Will he make the most of it next season?

Can't people shut up about Allardyce

He's a fat corrupt cunt who slagged the club and fans off as soon as he arrived.

It is quite amazing what BFS has done at Place
Do I want him back, do I fuck
I would always choose Bilic abfore that arsehole

Bilic has proved absolutely nothing as a club manager.
Nothing.
Is a croatian version of Zola.

Re: Big Sam climbs above West Ham.
They're a perfect club for Sam. In terms of aspiration they're happy to stay up every year and are generally regarded as a small club. Also there's not an expectation to play 'good football' that's aesthetically pleasing on the eye like there was here and at Newcastle.

Essentially it's a southern version of Bolton, so it's an environment he can thrive in.

Re: Big Sam climbs above West Ham.
Agreed, Hani.

He just does not get the credit he deserves as a manager.

Whilst Bilic played a more entertaining football style to watch, Allardyce is definitely the better manager.

Given the players he now has at Palace with a couple of signings I fear he could turn them into the team that will push Everton for that spot in the table.

You have the top 6, then Everton, then 8-15 which is a mixture of all the half decent/average teams. Then your gutter teams 16-20 who fight it out each year.

Re: Big Sam climbs above West Ham.
It can't be said that BFS is a better Manager than Bilic. After all Bilic has done for us what BFS could not do in three seasons of trying. True that BFS is doing better right now but that does not make him a better manager.

Re: Big Sam climbs above West Ham.
Is another sign that this year Bilic has been a negative factor in our season.
If Cristal Palace will finish above us this season a lot of people will realize that our manager is worth a lot less than what he's able to sell himself.

Sam is good manager far better than Bilic.

Simple really.

Sam was good enough for us but not right for us.
Slav is right for us but (probably) not good enough for us.

Up your bollocks if you don't agree.

Re: Big Sam climbs above West Ham.
Let's face it CP should not have been in the relegation places with the players they have. Pardew had lost the plot there for sure. They are ideal for BFS.

Defend in depth and quick break outs are all BFS knows something about. As others have said when the club want to progress then he'll be found out again but will earn a few more £millions at the next club he rescues from relegation...

Big Sam gets sacked as England manager after one game.

The bloke is a greedy crook who shouldn't be in football.

Darby and Leftie,

Do you really think I'm just saying that the change of badge is responsible for the shit show this season has been?

I was using it as a metaphor for complete change. We've changed too many things too quickly.

Try and keep up will you? Sometimes I feel I'm wasted on here. Actually, I'm just wasted.

Re: Big Sam climbs above West Ham.
When Bilic was appointed a friend of mine said he would be worse than Di Canio at Sunderland and that we would regret not keeping on Allardyce. After every big scalp last season I sent him a text. He's really letting me have it now big Sam has "proved West Ham wrong".

Re: Big Sam climbs above West Ham.
We brought in Bilic to get us to the next level - something which Big Samuel wasn't doing, we were treading water.
So after last year which was exceptional, we will give the struggling Slav a pass this time but no excuses next.
One point citing the change of badge as an explanation for this season is just bollocks. your mistaking professional footballers, just doing a job, for us, fans who have invested a lifetime in supporting this team and fir us something like a badge means a fuck of a lot
